1 Fowl
2 tb Granulated gelatin
1/3 c Cold water
2 Hard cooked eggs
Seasonings to taste
Boil a fowl - an old one will do - till meat falls
from the bones. Cool, strain, and boil liquor till
reduced to 3 cups. Remove meat from bones and
skin, lay meat in a mold, light and dark meat
alternately, adding the egg slices. Soak gelatin
in water for 1/2 hour, add the stock and pour over
the meat. Set away to harden. Serve cold in
slices. A good luncheon dish.
