MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Bouillon
 Categories: 
      Yield: 1 Servings
 
      1 lb Beef from the round
      1 pt Cold water
      1    Sprig parsley
      1    Stalk celery
      1 ts Salt
           Pepper to taste

MMMMM--------------------------CARAMEL----------------
      1 c  Sugar
      1 tb Water
      1 c  Water
        pn Salt
 
  Soup:
  
  Chop beef into very small pieces. Put it in a
  saucepan with water, parsley and celery. Cook and
  stir with a wooden spoon until the meat is almost
  white. Remove from heat and let stand 30 minutes.
  Return to stove and quickly bring to a boil, add
  salt and pepper. Color with caramel and it is
  ready to serve.
  
  Caramel:
  
  Put sugar and 1 tablespoon water into a porcelain
  kettle, cook and stir constantly till a bright
  brown color. Add water and salt, let boil a few
  more minutes. Cool, strain and bottle; cork
  tightly. always ready for coloring soups.
