2 Eggs
1 c Milk
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
8 sl Stale bread
Lightly beat eggs. Add milk, salt and vanilla. Dip
bread slices into mixture so that both sides are
coated. Fry in a little fat in a hot skillet until
browned. Turn and brown the other side. Serve with
syrup, jam or powdered sugar. A good way to use up
bread that's not fresh.
